Privacy Policy — RenewalHub Stock Fulfillment

RenewalHub Stock Fulfillment (“Stock Fulfillment”, “we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a Shopify app provided by RenewalHub SA.
What the app accesses
To provide its inventory location scan, Stock Fulfillment accesses Shopify store data required for the scan, including:
- products and product variants;
- inventory items and inventory levels;
- inventory quantities;
- Shopify locations and their fulfillment configuration.
Stock Fulfillment is designed not to access customer records, order records, payment information, or checkout data for its V1 functionality.
How we use store data
We use the Shopify store data described above only to:
- authenticate and operate the installed app;
- run a scan requested by the merchant;
- identify variants that have positive available inventory but no positive inventory at an active location able to fulfill online orders;
- display the scan result to the merchant;
- provide support and protect the reliability/security of the service.
Scan-result storage
Stock Fulfillment does not intentionally retain a history of merchant scan results in V1. Product, inventory, and location data used for a scan is processed to return the current result and is not stored by Stock Fulfillment as a long-term scan record.
Shopify may process or temporarily retain API/bulk-operation data as part of Shopify’s own platform. Shopify’s handling of that data is governed by Shopify’s terms and policies.
Account and session data
We store the minimum installation/session information needed to authenticate the installed Shopify app and keep it operating. This can include the shop identifier/domain, Shopify-issued app session information, access scope metadata, and technical timestamps.
Authentication credentials and application secrets are not intentionally exposed to merchants or the public.
Customer data
Stock Fulfillment’s V1 does not require customer personal data. If Shopify sends a mandatory privacy request concerning customer data, we process the request in accordance with Shopify’s required privacy webhook process. Because the app does not intentionally store customer records, there may be no customer record to return or delete.
Sharing and service providers
We may use infrastructure providers to host and operate the app. The planned production infrastructure is Google Cloud, including managed application hosting, secret storage, and database services.
We do not sell merchant or customer personal data.
We do not use merchant catalog data to train an AI model.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures designed to protect app data, including HTTPS in transit, secret management, authenticated Shopify sessions, and access controls appropriate to the production infrastructure.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Data retention and deletion
Installation/session records are retained only as needed to operate the installed app and meet legitimate operational/legal requirements.
When the app is uninstalled or Shopify sends the applicable shop-redaction request, we delete app-owned shop/session records in accordance with Shopify’s requirements, subject to any data we are legally required to retain.
Stock Fulfillment does not maintain V1 scan history that a merchant needs to separately delete.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes or legal/platform requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when appropriate.
